About Don't Call the Seattle Police

About This Site

Inspired by Don’t Call The Police, this site aims to be a current directory of community-based alternatives to police in Seattle.

Our goal is to help people in stressful situations quickly find the right resources without involving the police, who often escalate situations rather than help.

Why This Matters

Many situations that traditionally involve police can be better handled by specialized community resources. Whether someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, needs housing assistance, or is facing domestic violence, there are trained professionals who can provide better support than law enforcement.

How to Use This Site

Browse by category using the homepage cards, or use the search function to find specific resources. Each resource page includes:

  • Contact information (phone, text, website)
  • Services provided
  • Hours of operation
  • Who the service is appropriate for
  • Geographic area served

For mobile users, use the menu icon in the top left to navigate between categories.
